This is the
equivalent grade to
the PADI Open Water
Diver but we shall
not charge you for
the instructors time
and we shall include
your Peak
Performance buoyancy
skills development,
Drift Diver and Boat
Diver skills in for
NOTHING!
This part of the
course covers your
basic theory
training and
practical pool
skills. During the
winter months you
will receive
nineteen lessons in
the classroom and
pool enabling you to
understand all the
theory and gain
hands-on experience
of diving in a
controlled
environment. The
instructors are
always on hand to
answer any questions
you may have. In the
pool there is
constant evaluation
of your increased
skill levels and you
will progress at a
pace that is
suitable to you, we
will not rush or
pressure you. At the
end of the training
there is a theory
examination and an
initial shore dive
under the
instruction of the
same Instructor that
you have built up
trust in during the
many pool sessions.
Several open water
skills are required
before sign off. We
will allow you again
to progress at your
own pace.
There is some
self-study required
alongside the
classroom work, a
manual will be
provided for this
purpose.

Peak Performance
buoyancy skills
development
ADSAC will
perfect your
buoyancy first in
the pool environment
whilst carrying out
many skills. Once
you have mastered
good buoyancy in the
pool you will using SAA guidelines to
determine correct
weighting.
Drift Diver
The south coast
has a great
reputation for its
fabulous dives.
Nothing is more
invigorating than
drifting over mussel
beds teaming with
life. ADSAC will
ensure that you have
all the skills to
feel confident to
'fly' underwater and
experience the buzz
that is drift
diving.
Boat Diver
ADSAC is in the
lucky position of
owning two dive
boats. It is
inevitable therefore
that you will be
diving off one or
both of these boats
at some stage.
We will give you all
the training that
you require to
enable you to be
safe whilst using
our boats as your
dive platform
Free Pool Use
During the winter
months we hire part
of the Two
Riversmeet pool for
training and skills
refresh exercises,
there is no
additional charge
for this very useful
facility.
